Dear Patients:

🎊 Happy New Year!🎊 In the first edition of our newsletter for 2022, we will share our new name, some goodbyes and hellos from our team, a beautiful new eyewear line we have introduced at both of our locations and an update on job action.

Formerly known as Dr. Daniel Rayman, Optometrist and Bolton Eye Care, we are now IndividualEyes! We have a new logo and website, but rest assured, we are still the same friendly team of doctors and staff you’ve come to know and love!We love our new name as it truly showcases our mission in providing each patient with a personalized (or individualized 😎) experience, from your personal relationship with our team and doctors, to your eye exam, to your individual style shining through with a frame and lens combination that suits your lifestyle needs.

We would like to formally introduce the new members of our team, if you have not met them at our offices already!

  • Katherine has a combined 11 years of experience working in the healthcare field as a nurse and a certified vision therapist. She joined our team earlier last year as our new vision therapist and has enjoyed working with our vision therapy patients thus far!
  • Greeting you at our front desk in Richmond Hill are Golnaz and Jeanne. Golnaz is a student optician with a Bachelor of Science in Health and more than eight years of experience in customer service. Jeanne has over five years of experience in the medical industry and brings over fifteen years of customer service experience having worked in several administrative roles.
  • Soroush is a registered optician with over ten years of experience in the field. He joins our team in Richmond Hill as another set of eyes to help you with your optical needs.
  • Heidi joins our team in Bolton as our new optometric assistant.

Please join us in wishing all the best to our vision therapist Brittany, optometric assistants Deanna and Dana, and optician Nazgol as they move on from our office. They have been amazing members of our team and we are grateful for all they have done for us!

Our eyewear boards now feature bold and timelessly elegant styles by Dior!

Dior entered the world of eyewear as a young brand in 1966. Partnered with the global eyewear supply giant Safilo, Dior has been producing glasses made in Italy with high quality and unique designs.

We invite you to book an appointment to come check out our fabulous Dior glasses and sunglasses soon!

Ontario Association of Optometrists Job Action Update

On November 22, the Ontario Association of Optometrists (OAO) and the Ministry of Health agreed to enter formal negotiations regarding OHIP funding of optometric care for the first time in decades. As a sign of good faith, the OAO paused its job action on November 23, 2021, ensuring that millions of Ontarians insured by OHIP can again benefit from the expertise of their optometrist during these negotiations.

We would like to sincerely thank everyone for your support and cooperation throughout our job action! Without your letters, signatures and voices we would not have achieved this monumental step towards sustainable eyecare. As of now, OHIP coverage for eye exams has not changed as negotiations are ongoing, but we are hopeful to hear an announcement from the OAO and the Ministry of Health in the near future.

We thank you for reading our newsletter and supporting us. We look forward to writing to you again soon in the warmer days of Spring. Until then, we wish you happiness and good health.
